As much as we LOVE essential oils – with Amber Rose we intentionally created a SOOTHING moisturizer without them! We used ancient European plant oils and extracts, that still have wonderful healing powers, but which are more suited to those with sensitive or aggravated skin -- who desire a scent-free product without the essential oils… The truth to be told - the end result is pretty darn amazing!!

Growing up in Lithuania, by the Baltic Sea, I was surrounded by oodles of AMBER (jewelry, artwork, accessories) but really didn’t pay much attention to its medicinal powers touted by many elders there... Yet as time passed, we started to delve deeper into our culture roots and the ever-growing research about this humble, but beautiful fossilized tree resins’ real powers…

Natural Baltic Amber has unique properties unlike any other Amber in the world! From the medical writings of the famous Hippocrates (460-377 BC), through the Middle Ages and Roman times, Baltic Amber was highly renowned! Newer science finds Amber contains 3-8% of Succinic Acid, a scientifically examined medical substance used in contemporary medicine.

Of particular value are pharmaceuticals preventing the aging of human cells, which use succinic acid as an inhibitor (an agent slowing down or totally stopping the loss of) of potassium ions as an antioxidant – now scientifically described as a Modern Elixir of Youth! It is reportedly capable of restoring the energy balance at the cellular level, which is often upset as the years go by.

Organic Rosehip Oil, the namesake combination for Amber Rose, melds fantastically with Amber for absorption, and is itself a wonderful source of vitamin C with calming and antioxidant properties, that aids to reduces scaring and facial lines, while balancing pH :-)

We must mention Walnut oil, that like all the tree nuts, is rich in plant sterols, antioxidants, omegas, vitamins A, B, D, E, phytonutrients, proteins, magnesium. Not only does it help to reduce dreaded signs of aging; it can be very helpful with irritated and sensitive skin.

Another organic oil definitely needing mention is Blackberry Seed Oil! It contains high amounts of Vit C which greatly aids to combat wrinkles, and helps with large pores and blemishes. A rich source of Omega-3's, it can therefore also aid in the relief of itchy, scaly, irritated skin conditions such as eczema, psoriasis and general sensitivity!
