A SPECIAL MESSAGE FOR MY BIRTHDAY

We have a lot to celebrate! SanRe is 16 years of Organic Love, my wonderful mom and SanRe co-founder is celebrating her BDay, and I’m now turning 51 this weekend! I still vividly remember being in my 20’s and thinking how one is quite OLD in their 50’s! LOL :-)

But, today aging does not scare me at all, I sure want to continue getting OLDER! I want to be around my children as much and as long as I can. I want to be grandmother one day, I look forward to having little children in the family again, as they represent pure joy and happiness!

As I’m getting older, I’m more conscious about food choices, as I want to stay as healthy as I can. I’m also more than ever conscious about physical exercise as I want to stay as fit as I can to enjoy life and not be a burden to my family. Our choices matter. Healthy discipline matters.

I think a lot of people, especially women, are so afraid of aging and view it as a bad thing. I view it as a chance to keep experiencing life and enjoying what I love, because the alternative is dying young (which before faced with that alternative with cancer, I sure didn’t like it, LOL, and will take getting older any day)!

I think we need to redefine aging for ourselves, because most of us have a bad perception about aging... It is not so bad and we choose our state of mind -- we live more, we live longer, we aim to embody happiness and peace, to be creatively productive (I so love sharing SanRe) and we can strive to wisely and positively influence our kids, loved ones and friends with our experiences longer (that is if they want to be influenced - LOL).

So, let’s cherish every phase of our life, let’s see the beauty in every stage and let’s be the best version of ourselves, regardless of our age!
